Portland’s Eater Magazine Designates the Yukon Tavern One of Southeast Portland’s Best Neighborhood Restaurants

In a city where foodies rule and beer culture reigns it can be a hard fight to get noticed by dedicated connoisseurs, but thanks to a recent article in Portland’s own Eater magazine, we can claim one of those top spots. In their recent article entitled “Where to Imbibe and Dine in Sellwood and Westmoreland” the Yukon Tavern takes their number one spot as a great place for food and drink in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood!

Calling the Yukon Tavern “one of the last consummate dives in the city,” writer Alex Frane states that the true markings of a dive bar still exist in our historic establishment. To prove his point he calls out the pool table, video-poker machines, and our legendary shuffleboard table, as well as our long-standing “dive bar“ ambiance set off by the wood-paneled walls that have been a part of our interior for decades.

Of course, Frane also mentions our 18 taps and cheap well drinks but we’ve also got top shelf liquor, wine, cider, and exciting new CBD drinks to enjoy, too. And, he cites our food menu as being filled with choices you’d expect in a bar like ours. He especially liked our fish and chips basket, calling it “pretty solid.”

Thanks Alex Frane and Eatermagazine for the great review and for placing the Yukon Tavern at the top of your Sellwood-Moreland list! Come back again soon for another round and enjoy one of our many special events. Every week our calendar is filled with drink and food specials, movie nights, mobile studio painting events, free pool and poker nights, and Last Call Trivia. There’s something for everyone to love at the Yukon Tavern!
